Pursuant to the guide this is an exclusive group of lawyers with outstanding reputations within their markets who either have expertise and experience of working on complex deals and/or have risen to hold leadership roles with their firms or their practices.  Moreover, this year’s guide is the most comprehensive yet, featuring around 1000 lawyers globally. Every year the data from the previous year are used for the Women Leaders survey. IFLR1000's research teams in Hong Kong, London, New York and Sofia collectively analyse thousands of research submissions, conduct thousands of interviews with law firm partners, and survey tens of thousands of clients to determine IFLR1000's Women Leaders.

IFLR1000 Women Leaders is the Annex to IFLR1000. The latter is a Guideline for the attorneys of the largest firms in the sector of financial and corporate law which has been studying the legal sector since 1990. This is the only international guide the ranking whereof is carried out on the basis of the assessment of the legal counselling of financial and corporate transactions of the attorneys and law firms.
