Insult and defamation, the practice of the European Court of Human Rights for cases related to mass media outlets: Concern Dialog senior partner, attorney Narine Beglaryan shared her experience with journalists

With the aim of assisting with   improvement on understanding of legal institutions and more comprehensively and multidisciplinary cover current processes, on 30 June Concern Dialog organized a recurrent event from the series of meetings with journalists. The event was devoted to the practice of the European Court of Human Rights for cases related to mass media when it comes to insult and defamation.

Concern Dialog senior partner, attorney Narine Beglaryan talked to journalists about her experience on cases over insult and defamation; she talked about legal practice, and a discussion took place about the position of courts on respective rulings.

The journalists spoke about their experience over the subject matter, as well as they discussed the legal regulations regarding mass media and expected changes.

Reminder: the series of meetings with mass media representatives will be continuous. During each meeting separate legal institutions that are actual at that stage and relate to the work of journalists will be discussed, taking into consideration the availability of respective experience and academic knowledge within the team of the Law Firm over those specific topics.
