From June 26 to 29, the Arbitration Summer School took place at the American University of Armenia (AUA), bringing together students and professionals interested in arbitration for its fourth consecutive year.
The event was co-organized by the Arbitrators’ Association of Armenia and AUA, with the goal of enhancing participants’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.
Prominent speakers included Aram Orbelyan, Managing Partner at Concern Dialog, and Lilit Karapetyan, Partner at the same firm.
The program began with a lecture by Aram Orbelyan, who introduced the fundamentals of arbitration, its legal framework, and practical applications. He also led the closing session, focusing on arbitration in construction contracts.
Lilit Karapetyan conducted a hands-on session covering the stages of arbitration, the roles of the parties involved, and the structure of arbitral awards. She also moderated a panel discussion featuring representatives from Armenian arbitration institutions, including the Arbitrators’ Association and ICC Armenia.
A highlight of the program was a mock arbitration, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in a simulated real-world scenario.
As the gold sponsor of the Summer School, Concern Dialog is proud to continue supporting the development of arbitration in Armenia.
