Concern Dialog Continues to Implement New Practice Management Model: Sofya Kharatyan appointed Head of Family Law Practice at Concern Dialog.

Concern Dialog Law Firm continues the rollout of its new practice management model, under which the daily operational leadership of specialized practice areas is entrusted to experienced Senior Associates, under the ongoing oversight of Partners.
Following the Labor Law Practice, which was recently placed under the leadership of Shushanik Stepanyan, the new management model is now being implemented in the Family Law Practice, with Sofya Kharatyan appointed as its Head.
This appointment represents another milestone toward achieving the core goals of the new management model: deepening domain-specific legal specialization, creating clear career advancement pathways for senior professionals, and placing client engagements in each practice area under the direction of an experienced practitioner.
Experience and Professional Background
Sofya Kharatyan leads Concern Dialog’s family law practice activities. She provides counsel and legal representation to domestic and international clients across complex and emotionally sensitive family law matters.Her areas of expertise include:
- Divorce, child custody, determination of residence, and child support disputes;
- High-net-worth and cross-border division of marital property;
- International family disputes, including matters under the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, child access/visitation rights, as well as the recognition and enforcement of foreign judicial decisions.
A member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia since 2019 and a licensed mediator since 2024, Sofya leverages this dual role to strike the optimal balance between robust courtroom advocacy and compassionate out-of-court dispute resolution whenever aligned with the client’s best interests.
Sofya is the author of the Armenia Family Law chapter in the Chambers Global Practice Guide. She also contributes articles and commentary on litigation, as well as the recognition and enforcement of judgments, to several other international legal publications. Her working languages are Armenian, English, and Russian.
